Workshop on manga and fan culture at Groenendaalcollege high school

Yesterday we organized a Dutch-language workshop on manga and fan culture for fifth-years at the Groenendaalcollege high school. Students attended a presentation on manga and fan activities such as dojinshi and fan fiction and then used characters from their own favorite movies/TV series/comics to make a short intro to manga in comic book form. Although nobody was familiar with concepts such as fanart or fanfic beforehand, a lot of people spontaneously went into fanwork creation mode by making the people in the screenshots stay in character while they talked about manga, with highly amusing results.
