Workshop on manga at Maria-Boodschaplyceum, Brussels

On April 30, we took part in a project day at the Maria-Boodschaplyceum secondary school in Brussels with a workshop on manga and fan culture. The setup was more or less the same as the workshop in January: students attended a presentation on manga and fan activities such as dojinshi and fan fiction and then used characters from their own favorite movies/TV series/comics to make a short intro to manga in comic book form.

Due to a few technical glitches not all groups were able to complete more than one or two panels, but fun and learning was had by all nonetheless. A big thank you to all participants! The list of all student-created comics by title of the original work used (some unfinished, alas -full set here):

Word balloons were added using Superlame. I received a few images without the title of the original work given but managed to identify them using TinEye, a very cool reverse image search engine that lets you find out where an image originally came from. There's a browser plugin as well.
