Murder in Belgium linked to 'Death Note' manga
(Update 25 August 2008: the 'manga murder' discussion on Youtube)
(Update 26 November 2007: latest info on police investigation)
The severed lower half of a man's body, minus feet and with the genitals shorn, was discovered in a park near Brussels on Friday the 28th of September. Police found two pieces of paper near the body that read "Watashi wa Kira dess" (written with exactly that erronous romanization). Some still hope it may be a profoundly disgusting student prank, but police apparently fear they're dealing with a psychopath.
Kira is of course the alias of Yagami Raito, protagonist of the manga 'Death Note'. In the manga, Raito is gifted with a note that allows him to kill others from a distance. A genius aspiring to join the police, Raito wants to use the note to make a better world and starts murdering criminals under the codename 'Kira'. But power corrupts, of course: it isn't long before Raito begins to target the police detectives looking for the serial killer Kira, and he soon behaves like a veritable dictator. (POSSIBLE SPOILER if you don't know how the series ends, skip to next paragraph!) Things eventually end quite badly for Raito. In spite of its premise, the manga itself is a psychological thriller centered around the interaction between Kira and the detectives, with a great deal of talking heads and very little gore or gratuitious violence. People die, of course, but they generally collapse of heart attacks.
There's been some controversy about the series in China (which we previously discussed here and here). However, a murder is something of a whole new order of magnitude, and in our own back yard no less. Regrettably but unsurprisingly, media coverage here in Belgium has been rather sensationalist, with the incident being dubbed 'de mangamoord' ('the manga murder') and recorded screaming from the anime version of 'Death Note' preceeding discussions of the incident. Local manga fans have been attempting some damage control, but of course this is not good publicity. Never mind that the crime bears no resemblance to anything seen in 'Death Note' and the only link is one misspelled note, which proves only that the murderer was aware of the manga's existence. Calling this 'the manga murder' is about as sensible as referring to the shooting of John Lennon as 'the book murder' because Mark Chapman was carrying a copy of 'Catcher in the Rye' (thanks to the forum at Mangaheuvel for the analogy). However, in spite of a small-scale recent boom in Dutch manga translations, manga are still not well-known enough in Belgium for most people to realize just how absurd the characterization is.
In the interest of balance, though, it could have been worse. There's the usual factual errors -here and there Kira is translated as 'killer' by reporters unaware that the word is a name, details such as the length of the manga or whether or not the anime came first are misreported, the two live-action films are referred to as anime, and so forth. There's been few gross and significant errors. So far we've seen no barrage of articles referring to manga as 'Japanese comics full of sex and violence'; hopefully, reporting will stop at misrepresentation and not turn into anything resembling a witchhunt.
Regardless, it remains to be seen exactly what impact this is going to have on manga's status here. With the Japanese media turning up in Brussels as well (articles in Japanese on Mainichi and Yomiuri), it's not hard to imagine this snowballing. We're compiling press coverage of this incident on del.icio.us under the tag death_note, please let us know if you have a media tidbit we missed. Time for an in-depth analysis of the media coverage as soon as we have enough data to go on.
(It would have been nice to make our radio debut in more pleasant circumstances, but that's neither here nor there. We did a short interview to clarify what Death Note is about -listen to it here by clicking on 'audio' below the text. If you don't understand Dutch, you can enjoy listening to the screaming which is helpfully inserted just before we get to do our say. It's a fragment lifted from the very beginning of the first Death Note live action film.)

Call me Ze
Well as I can see, a lot of people are interested in this case, as am I. Just because I am interested in this case doesn't mean that I am "Playing Detective" I am just simply helping out in the case and anyone who wants to hear what I have to say. I'm not here to rant on how Kira is evil and stuff like that, I just making a point, but that doesn't mean that I am a Kira supporter. You would probably say I am like most of the detectives on here, (or so they say) but there is one thing that separates me from most of them. I have been a detective for 3 years. I am more experienced then they are.
I'm not going to put my thoughts on what the police should do on here cause it will take up space and I don't want to be a nuisance. I will only if necessary.
- Ze
What is wrong with you people?
If everyone would stop playing detective and let the ACTUAL authorities work this case would most likely already be solved.
In Regards to 'Kira', The Mass Murderer
I must say that the murderer, whoever he was,
1.) Lives in the area, circa 2 cities from the scene of the crime.
2.) Walked that distance, as indicated by
a.) No smell of gasoline... if the area had never had a car over it, the smell would have been there.
b.) Cars leave heat trails that stay for over 48 hours.
c.) No bike equipment was found in the vicinity that was unaccounted for.
1a) Had a bike been the vehicle MO, there would have been signs.
Dead bodies carted on a bicycle, if not receiving attention, do
drop at least dead skin cells that were NOT found.
1b) Rubber flakes off when you start a bike up, and none was found.
This indicates that more time than police have acknowledged was
used to prep the body for the death, having to manually ship the
body via box, or, more likely, in a bath of sorts, which catches
blood.
3.) The body was stored in a controlled atmosphere for longer than 3 days.
a.) While preserving the body, this would have kept conditions ideal for
ensuring minimal loss of skin cells and maximum loss of identifying
features. This, of course, presupposes that
1a) The victim lacked certain features as tattoos and piercings.
b.) Hair has extremely stunted growth, but does not fall out naturally,
when a person dies. Therefore, to have eliminated traces of hair
that would have automatically identified an individual, the murderer
must have shaved all hair, then used tweezers to remove them.
c.) No blood was ever found. For a murderer, the best way to acheive
this is simply to dump the body in a tub, and suck the blood out,
much the way morticians do to dead bodies. This also disguises the
identity of the murdered individual, because blood loss is well known
to give a lighter pigment to people.
4.) The police investigation method was tailored by the murderer to allow her to get off easy.
I'll get to why I say 'her' in a second.
a.) The murderer rid herself of incriminating evidence
1a) There is no hair, an identifying feature
2a) Blood has been removed.
3a) The leg hair has been shaved... which could have identified hair color and thus set up a list of who was murdered and who could be suspects.
b.) Employed tactics limit the suspects
1a) Travelers would logically be selected and detained... the murderess would have known that
2a) Removed blood indicates access to a plumbing store or store with plumbing access. Or personal usage, which can not be verified without a warrant that can't be verified without that information, etc
3a) The murdered person was close to the murderess. The reasons I say this are simple: 1) There is no sign of a bump or force, which would not be removed by the time of discovery and 2.) No individual came forth saying that a relative or friend had been missing for some time, which begs the question of who could know.
4a) Assuming that point 4b3a is accurate, the only way that the murderess could hold an alibi is to state that the friend, relative, or so on left via car. Not plane, which is trackable, but car. This supports the notion that the murderess lives within two cities of the incident, and gives an alibi in that it is acceptable to not hear from another person on a trip for a couple of days without thinking that something wrong has happened.
5a) Death Note references. Fine. Understood. Let's think about this... you've got a murderess who has killed the individual, dropped not one spot of blood, and dropped not one piece of hair, and never let a single skin cell hit the ground. This same person accessed the murder scene in a time that nobody would be around, in a place very few would suspect, using a transportation method for herself and the body in such a way that it's untraceable. Finally, this SAME person has not been caught. Statistics show us that the majority of people who watch anime, particularly Death Note, are male teens.
Come on. It's not a huge leap of faith to believe that this same person didn't have the foresight to throw the police off the trail by leading a clue in the wrong direction, much like something out of Agatha Christie.
****CONCLUSION****
The killer is quite cunning, and though the body statistics seem to indicate a medical joke, it's not. Additionally, the killer was intelligent enough to use that as an advantage, and throw suspicion on this whole murder. If I were the Belgian police, I would investigate
- Women
- Those with access to plumbing tools or water line construction.
- Have lived in the area for longer than three years prior to the incident.
- Ages 20 - 35
- Those with freezers
- Mortician receipts
- Rented cars in country
or
- Incoming flights w/o rented cars
- Two cities radius of city with body
Roxas out.
Roxas's Mistake
20-35? No, that's not quite right. Accourding to my own investigation, and others, The range is 18-25.
Reasoning: 15-25 are very easily swayed, and tend to be emotional.
Though I agree that it's a woman, I belive that your reasoning is a little flawed.
Also, as a comerade as pointed out, the notes found with the body refer to the song "Zetsubo Billy". Again, back to DN. Also, the precousious nature of the conditions of the murder also, if you think, refer to the spin-off novel "The Los Angeles BB Muder Case", you find simmilarites in the last murder, and also the same finicky need to keep everything clean. Reasoning may be differnt, but it cannot be ignored.
SO
The killer, whom I have dubbed Zetsubo Billy, is obbsessed with Death Note.
And that's all from this little girlie!~
-Yuki-chan <3
P.S. If anyone wants to dicuss it further, email me at YukiDaShinigami@gmail.com please!~
Mr.Police Officer
As a Belgian police officer, you would investigate women and people with freezers. Wow. (Quote:Statistics show us that the majority of people who watch anime, particularly Death Note, are male teens. Tell me how it helps to limit it to people who have freezers.)
Ayu's Thorough Investigation
It is true that there was a man spooted few days before the case, the murderer is also quite intelligent. The only way to know those skills is as if they were a doctor or atleast a nurse, since it has something to do with medical teaching.
This case is a repeat of the manga except that the "Kira" is killing innocent people. Like you said, there maybe some connection between them. Have the police or detectives ever tried to look at the torn body more closely? There might be a 0.5% possibility that there's still hair left, even if they shaved it there must be a possibility.
Another thing is that, why now? Was it because of the manga? If it was, why? Why act now and not then? I know this questions are stupid but I need answers. If he/she were really "Kira", then why target innocent people? Wouldn't the real "Kira" kill criminals?
This case is not fun and games, everybody knows that. Mosts sites I've been about this case have comments whice people joke about, I don't like it.
My Starting Point:-
I've been investigating this case for a few hours, this one is tough, I must say. There have been a few clues given by people, they also seem to be investigating. I don't like to joke around with these kinds of things but I have found a few people who do.
I first started with YouTube but those people are imitating L from Death Note, INCLUDING the text format of the name. So I turned to google, and I ended up right here. So I'm going to restart this investigation by going to investigate outside, I do need exercise anyway.
My recent discoveries:-
"Watashi wa Kira dess" is a clue, the misspelling of desu. There must be a clue within it, must be the "S". If all the notes are the same, then this clue is dissmised. Although, if the notes have different things written, then there must be a clue somewhere written. Did the police investigate if the paper can be found at a rare place or if the paper is the usual paper people use?
Also, if it were a man, wouldn't that also make him a rapist? Since that there was a possibility that this case was connected to five cases including 5 women who were murdered.
One more thing, the notes. I found out that the notes have different colours. The other one is red while the other one is yellow, the yellow must mean something, while the red is the ever so obvious symbol of blood. I could be wrong about this, but this is just recent discovery.
My Conclusion:-
The "Kira" (getting bored calling the person killer or murderer ect.) is pretty much either a psycopath or a Kira rapist ( if man), but an intelligent one who kills with seemingly much anticipation than usual killers. The person does seemingly know about the popular manga and anime Death Note, that is where the notes are explained.
The person might want to become "Kira" or should I say like the character Light Yagami, the person might have been a corrupted person who had power over people or something. Or maybe that he had loved or despised those people for what they did to him or some else, have the police check VERY clearly and carefully for any blood? Atleast take a sample of the skin to have scientist or a genius to check if there are any similarities to a family, maybe they had moved or the person had moved to get a job or something?
Either way, it concludes that the person wants to show us something, maybe to show superiority or to watch people shiver in terror that someone is there to kill people and show that he has "won" something or other.
But that is just what I thought, I could be wrong.
Ayu out.
i agree CC
i agree with what you say but also maybe the murder wasnt in belgium but in another country and the body was sent over seas intercepted by the killer and transfered here to lower suspicion of him being in the united states i say get details discovered on body and see if it matches the recent dissaperences form decomber 2007 or so and then after getting a match from therer you can try to discover who would want the man dead please send a messages to lianundrin@yahoo.com if you want to assist me in figuring this out and from there ill tell you more stuff well for now CC out ps my name is prounouced c2.
god points but...
well you've got good leads but I've caught wind of a second killing that was in some small town in Russia with just about all of the SAME conditions as the first. Also about the note they left..."Kira" could be male or female(considering they thought it out if they wanted to give hell to the investigators & police)& the misspelled word "dess"(spelled correctly it's "desu" the u is silent...)means is which if the murders WERE inspired by the anime Death Note then they will keep leaving messages that say "I am Kira is" untill someone gives them a challange & claims that they are "L".
Starling out.
probably CC
i agree partly with you but wouldnt he have another motive instead of just killing these people cause if prioson records have a vacancy or change then i would believe the persaon is doing what kira believes so i agree with you 50% for now go to lianundrin@yahoo.com if you want to talk. CC out
Maybe it's this...
Why would they kill innocent people? The "Kira" who might be a Death Note fanatic must have maybe followed the same footsteps as the "Kira" in Death Note or should I say Light Yagami.
The person must be tired with his/her life that the person had no goal in life anymore, once he might have picked up the manga ( when maybe he was walking around town) and read it.
The person might have some fascination with the manga that it gave him/her inspiration to kill, especially the "Kira/Light Yagami" character.
So the person set up the killing, maybe showing the police that there will be a "New World" and that world will be ruled by him/her.
That's all I have to say.
Ayu out.
A Prank, Perhaps, In a Another Form?
It isn't that impossible that a fan of the Death Note seires could have found the bodies and put the note there, just to shake the police up?
I mean, it would cause alot of problems. Especially if people start copy catting the copy cat. And who wouldn't want to stir things up?
It wouldn't be to odd for it to be a prank by a teenager, or some other adolesant. Though, it is terrible for it to happen, at all.
~The Magical Meow Mix Monster~
Interesting.....
I agree that it isn't impossible, but very unlikely...we had a plumber in AZ that did something similar with a mass murder and note...the very next week in Flagstaff, we had a copy cat plumber murder...very weird
you may address me as N
Last time i checked murder was still murder. The mass murder is not Kira. I'll go as far as to say that much.
just ranting...
Ok, i cannot believe that this is acutally happening/ happened.
i know that this case has been closed, but i wanted to share my thoughts.
Does anyone think that maybe the killer said he was Kira because he wanted to put shame to the creators of Death Note? that could be likely...
and why would he say he's Kira, when he didnt kill the person/persons by the way that Raito kills in Death Note? and suicide is not possible in this situation.
If, which is highly UNLIKELY, he is a Kira. and if there are two bodies, a male and female, then he could have ordered one of them to kill the other and cut them up. then have the other commit suicide. but i have no idea of knowing how the one that didnt kill got delimbed. and, like i said, highly unlikely. The power of the Death Note is not real. Completely fiction.
so i've shared my thoughts. and i am not a detective, etc. i just was interested. and sorry for my bad grammer usage. i am just ranting :)
-another face in this world
Somethings
in no way am i trying to solve this case, it is dead and most likely a prank, but here are some things i have deduced from the things i have read: if it was a prank, would someone really want to take the time to cut up a possiblity of 2 corpses? where the torso was a male but could the thighs possibly could of been a female since they were shaven, where they never said the size of the thighs to the torso. It was reported that someone had seen a man laying at that sight a few days earlier, why would he be cut up a few days later? The notes make no sense to me, why 2? But the prank makes sense, since Deatrh Note was released around that time in Belgium and could of possibly just have been a misspelling on the notes. These are what i have found that other people seemed to of missed. Thank you for reading, and hop that you could find these facts interesting in you "investigations". Good hunting.
N
okay my theory
well when you think about the fact it could be linked to deathnote it does somehow seem logical. (for the purpose of this i will just refer to the "real kira", or who ever did it as kira to make it easier. If you think about the fact that there were to seperate notes saying the same messege, those of you who have watched deathote will know that kira would have to write the messege in the deathnote to make his victim write it also. Therefore one note could be kiras and the other, his victim.
LOL L
Just to let all you "L"s know, if you were L you wouldn't be dumb enough to give out your IP address...
...
I'm not trying to be a copy of L & I'm pretty sure that noone else except for over obsessed Anime Freaks would take that identiy on.I only put out one of my more well know alias's(& yes I know not meany ppl have heard of me 'cause I'm not THAT well known but it's a LOOOOOONG story!) on this case & yes I have meany different names in the internet they're called USERNAMES!lol I really only did that for protective reasons because if "Kira" ever tried to find me it'd be nearly impossibal!think about it.
Starling out
hes real
lol lol lol lmao think about it every one there is a death note (by this i mean the series and perhaps it has created followers and if u think about it thell never catch kira cause he will be a mental desies once they catch a suspect therll just be another murrder in wich a sepret person following the same rules by wich kira kills would kill freeing the first person and since the 2 people are seprate neather can mess the other one over and so on and so with infent kiras or u could say 3rdkira/s so in conclushion there was a death note drped and people are picking it up lol may all humans fall to each other by there own hate and greed
You know whats funny? I can
You know whats funny? I can only understand half of what you just said because you dont have enough common sense to type out your d!mn words. How about this - either type something others can understand or dont comment at all. Just a suggestion.
Yeah.... Yeah........
In today's world you have to put up with that kind of thing, and to be honest it's more productive for you to learn to understand them instead of them ALL changing to fit us, i have learned and it's pretty sweet... Anyway, yeah it's more annoying for you to post like this and force me to comment because of the extreme amount of boredom i am suffering through, and the fact that obviously no one cares enough, so it has to be me... If you don't feel like learning don't but just don't complain about it.
Hmm
This isn't someone going on about being 'L' or 'Kira' or Light/Raito, but I would like to discuss this with someone. If you want to help me out, my email is Owenstine21@hotmail.com
Also, please, stop saying you're Kira or L. It's a silly load of bullocks!
-Owen
...
What is there to discuss, this case is long dead.
Actually...
acctually...no.no it's not. It's been reopened due to a second killing & to Owen I can only contact most ppl through my youtube account.Find me my username is: StarlingDinNova.plz say that your working on the Kira case & I asked you to contact me or I will just block u k?
Starling out
Agh.
There is a FINE line between fiction and reality, folks. You're not L--you're not Kira--let's keep it that way.
Yeah I'm tired of that!
lol I'm not tryin' to be L but I'm workin' on the case & frankly the whole "I'm Kira" "NO I am" thing is getting annoying!
Starling out...again lol
Wow.
You're all a bunch of morons. Stop blaming and/or trying to act like fictional characters and get a hold of reality. Crimes like this (if it is, in fact, a crime and not a hoax) are usually caused or commited by people who don't have the discretion to separate fiction from reality.
To me it sound like a hoax considering that there are VERY few facts to support the assumption of a crime; not to mention that it "took place" near a school where brash medical students have plenty of access to cadavers. Of course there must be security so close to the beginning of the term, but college students tend to be a little bold. Not to mention that no one is under surveillance 24/7.
Either way, details are all important. It's been months now, and the case is still unsolved. The assumption that it may be a serial killer is absurd if nothing else has taken place during this long period of time to give merit to that theory. Oh, and I would advise anyone who wants to claim that they're a supposed genius from a fictional series to actually act like a genius. You know, use propper grammar and spell the word correctly.
*Sigh*
You guys have great arguments
this case is very wierd and people are really confused because of the way the crime is layed out (no clues what so ever) and the note is more than likely a very childish prank (or hope to god it is because if it is not then this guy is trully nuts) anyway... I'm a psychologist and the reason young people have a interest in it is because of the note (come on dont deny it) and the reason people want to investegate it is because they feel like its a challeng, its like the "kira" is saying "can you find out who i am" so the people take the name "L" to show that they will accept the challenge (by the way all you guys can do is throw theories at each other because you cant get close to the actual evidence) Death Note is trully a great anime with a lot of twists and turns and a battle of wits that can awe a person but it IS an anime. so just remember reality (or you could end up like this "kira") I'm not trying to make fun of you guys, I mean sometimes I'v even cought myself biting my thumb daily.
^_^
I have to say I think you would be a friend of mine if we knew each other because of the debates we would have... but yeah, sometimes fiction is better than reality. I know i sound like a total prick but that's my opinion and I'm sticking with it!
.......
That's not exactly helping, either, you know.
that's not cool to get a cadaver and pretend to be kira
and then if a dude really was killed its not cool to pretend to be L and figure out ways it happened.
p.s.
if L had any balls he woulda ran up on yagami in the first place. maybe that's why he acts like a gimp, cause he has no balls.
Shut up
Shut up
You!
You shut up...
........
You guys are going a little out of control, arent you? I mean, there is no substantial evidence that proves that this is murder. Some people, and news, says that this is a prank, a sick joke, by mediacal students because of the sergical precision of the cuts. Seriously, people, there is no such thing as Death Note, nor is there an "L". Stop pretending.
...
I agree that some people are getting out of control but I don't agree with you when you say there is no substantial evidence that proves that this is murder. The police investigated and the answer they got was that it would be impossible for a med student to get his hands on a corps from a mortuarium and if it was to be removed from the lab itself there would've been traces of chemicals to preserve to body (traces that can't be erased) and there were never any traces found.
Laurens
*AHEM*
People can pretend to be a "Kira" or an "L" and well, that makes them real. Not in the sense as the actual characters, but if someone wants to kill someone and say they did it for Kira, well, I'd say that's pretty real. I see myself standing next to you as you're stabbed saying, "Dude stop pretending, you're out of control"
To this "manga muderer"
Using a simple DNA examination the police can find if this was indeed a murdered person, but without them revealing a missing persons' list to the media, not to mention some of the people on it would be women and therefor disimissed from the case, it is hard to deduce if this is in fact a true case. The small chance of a medical student prank is still there, and the fact that a college is close to the park makes it more likely. If this truly is a murder case, I welcome the challenge. Good Day.
~L
I am "L"( Note to the police)
One thing does not tick, it says there are 2 pieces of paper and one says "I am Kira" then what does the second one say? Also a simple mistake in Japenese grammer is says that this person is not Japenese or has no Japenese contact. Now, the possibility of a student prank is unlikely. If this was a sick prank, why would they take the body from a classroom near Sept 28 when the teachers come bak and security is at the highest? If they were to take a body they would take it during the summer where they would hav time to prank friends. Now the body was found and looked "perserved". If you notice Sept is cold in Brussel and and was about 9-13 celicius or 48-56 Farenheit. The body could have had a refrigerator effect. A pshycopath is possible. It could be a pshyco that wanted to get rid of any evidence. One clue is the shorn testicals. Getting a 20-30 yr old body is very hard and would require someone to attract the male into their house. This would require seduction which a woman has, so a woman being the killer is about 62%. There is also a possibility of an alias because is the shorn balls and the severed feet indicate the body might hav been bleeding or had a putrid smell. If it was a 20-30 yr old man that has died he must've been around 120-130lbs or 55-60 kg which would take 2 or more people if the person did not want blood or a stench on him or her and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Also in the wikipedia article it says that the body was found at the tip of the mountain which further helps my theory of an alias. they had to carry a heavy body up a mountain without getting blood or a rotting smell on them so pedestrians will not notice them. I will figure out this case and will help the police the most I can.
~L~
WOW L...
So you just told us fairly apparent facts. Okay then... 'L', if you really are L anyways, please actually start thinking like the manga L. Only a stupid imposter would willingly give out an IP address like this. Manga L would never outright just go online to a blog like this and post a stupid response, signing it with L! Surrounded by little '~'s too! You a hell of a lot less cautious than the manga L. And besides, manga-L doesn't share evidence/hunches with anyone unless he has full trust in them and are part of the investigation. Suppose I was 'Kira'. You just gave me a hunch that you're onto me, didn't you?
Not so smart now, eh 'L'?
-Nicole-
hmm
I dont think the student's would have taken the body at summer because the weather is warmer, wich makes the body rotten faster and it will start smelling realy fast bacause of the heat, so it might be a student "prank".
Only the lower body of the man was found, and the weight of a lower body is less then 55-60 kg, wich indicates that you don't have to be two to carry the limbs. And you mentioned that the body could have had a refrigerator effect, wich makes the blood freez, freezed blood does not drip and the cold air alsow slows down the rottening prosses - less smel, less blod.
~Sherlock Holmes~
Almost forgot
Forgive me, i almost forgot:
The misspelled letter in “Watashi wa Kira dess” could have possibly be written on purpose. Its not "dess" but "desu"
People might laugh at this spelling wrong, but what you don’t see, is that this murderer who calls him self "Kira" might be smarter than you think. A probability that he tried to put the people off focus on the situation, and so let the people lose the attention of who he might be. This guy might be smarter than we thought.
~Sherlock Holmes~
*jeez, I did a little twist and called my self sherlock holmes^^ just joking of course, first of all I'm 14, scond I'm a girl:P*
It would help to know about
It would help to know about criminal psychology, since I can't be sure if he/she would have a need the show an undeniable link, if the culprit is a pervert that is. according to wikipedia "Nobody reported a missing person, body, or body parts." if that's true then it means that the body is most likely from the medical academy. it also would be nice to know the case is thought to be a big deal in belgium, since if it was, they should know about the rest of the corpse.
Haha
This person/s claiming to be L are sad, seeing as L isn't all that smart. I mean, he only got the right conclusions because the writer made him, I could find so many other more likely deductions.
PS: Nice twist there, I bet you made L think you were Sherlock Holmes... Real smart that one.
PPS: I'm still alive.
~Doomshad0w~
Manga Murderer Case
Don't rule out so many possibilities...if you also remember, the one eyewitness said they saw someone lieing in the exact same spot for a few days before the body was found dead. I admire your supposed accuracy, but you have to think of every possibility, but then again, in your position as ""L"", you would refuse to believe such things possible correct? I've already found clues to this, I don't really care much for the manga murderer case, and as well as the mispelled japanese note actually would make one up the percentage for it being an actual Kira. As you said they couldn't getting bodies from the school at the time, it is true that the "death note" manga came out recently in that area....but it was translated in BELGIAN. Why would they write a Japanese note...in Belgium? Plus...there is another fact that leads to it being a girl. Watashi wa Kira dess/desu. That's the female translation of I am Kira, male being Ore wa Kira dess/desu. I don't think I need to further explain anything on this unless asked, or given a reason to, so that's all I have to say
"L" of the Kira investigation task force working with "Exodus" of Akatsuki
pronoun
good point that pronoun thing, however 'atashi' is the female one and 'watashi' is a neutral one. an obsessed psychopath should know that the real kira doesn't talk about himself, and if was to imitate light, 'boku' should be used instead of 'watashi'. however if it was to imitate misa, 'watashi wa kira dess/desu' would be a exact citation, although that wouldn't make otherwise. it was most likely a prank, and the culpritS (it ain't a funny prank if 'ya do it all alone) might just be laughing their asses off at us, seeing how hard we try to solve this.
the second one says the same
the second one says the same thing, only it's written in a diffrent colour
Color?
Wich colors are the notes?
Starling out
Wow.
Ummm, I said this before, you people are going WAY out of control over this! This is NOT our place! We should leave this to the PROPER controls and hands. Not ours. Saying stuff about 'Kira' and 'L's are REALLY stupid. Give it up and drop it already.
... wow, the comment
... wow, the comment by...... one of the "Ls"... is an amazing deduction... similar to my prvious thoughts but with added content... i've read alot of the replies in this forum and lot of people seem to think they can do something to make a difference... as sad as it is, no matter what we do, we CAN'T make a difference. police would never rely on the theories of a bunch o random manga fans no matter how good our theories may be. and to the people that think they actually ARE kira,........ good luck with that -_-

Listen up
This is to both you and person you are complementing. Both of your theories are ludicrous and absurd. Especially the one to are complimenting on. I'll save my breath for now, but I want you both to know i'll be referrencing you for the theories of my own. There you'll see just how rediculous you both sound. Look for me soon.
