Manga research support

We try to support research into manga and other aspects of popular culture -both our own and that of others- in a variety of ways.

• The Let's Manga research knowledge base gathers academic books and articles about manga as well as non-academic interesting manga news.
• Backing up the online knowledge base is a physical manga lending library.
• A who's who of manga researchers lists important manga researchers in- and outside Japan.
• We support researchers with advice on locating sources and choosing good research topics related to manga or Japanese popular culture -both our own students and staff and individuals outside our own department and/or university.
• We organize workshops and lectures about manga in a large variety of educational settings to inform students about manga and encourage them to take an interest in manga research.
