In this groupwork, we set out to create an introduction to the life and work of one of Japan’s most prominent and important creative minds of the extended sixties, Terayama Shūji. The reason behind the choice of his persona may be a very obvious one - the sheer incredible amount of cultural output spread over a plethora of genre’s and styles -, yet, he also serves as a perfect example of the creativity and depth of the post-war Japanese avant-garde.
